Dreamforce: A big dream for me!

Dreamforce is an annual four high-energy days of learning, inspiration, equality, and fun event that brings together the entire Salesforce community — Salesforce customers, partners, employees, and key stakeholders — for a fun family reunion.

Dreamforce is a must-attend event for every trailblazer and being in Salesforce Ecosystem from 5+ years I have also this dream from a long time to attend Dreamforce.

My dream was about to fulfill in 2017 as I got registered for DF’17 as Booth staff by 360 SMS, an app on AppExchange.

I was excited to attend my first DF but this dream broke when my USA visa rejected under section 214(b) without any valid reason in 2017.

In 2018, I was fortunate enough to be selected as a Dreamforce Speaker and received a full conference pass from Salesforce.

Wow, it was huge opportunity for me. What I needed more that year I was onboarded officially as a Community Group Leader in June 2018, and I was excited to live my dream in September 2018 as a first-time Dreamforce attendee, first-time Dreamforce Speaker, first-time attendee as a community group leader.

The assigned session manager from Salesforce Mr. Adam Sellers helped me a lot with presentation improvement and I was ready for staging.
I also got registered for my first Community Leader State of the Union and my feelings were in the cloud as I was getting everything at the same time.
It’s like the overflow of emotions and excitement.

But this excitement had also a fixed expiry date, it was a panic moment for me when my Visa rejected again in 2018 under the same section 214(b) without any valid reason.

I was broken, I was never prepared for the Visa rejection in the second year in a row again.
The dream was broken in a single moment.

Nothing is permanent, I forgot that bad news about Visa and moved on. I am a positive thinker, with my positivity I have written to the Trailblazer Community team about this news and my big hope for DF’19. I remember the very positive and inspiring replies from Mr. Alex, Trailblazer Community Management Team given me more power to move ahead.

Time moved, new year, new passion, new recognition, new motivation, new accomplishment, now I’m Salesforce Lightning Champion (ramp-up period), Salesforce Student Mentor for Studnet Journey along with my responsibility of Trailblazer Community Group Leader — Motihari Developers Group, I have been on Answer Leader board (Apr-Aug19) on Trailblazer Community Answers.
These all have given me more confidence for my #GivingBack initiatives through my Community involvement and wow I was again very lucky this year, this time I again received a full conference pass for Dreamforce 2019.

Thanks to the Salesforce & #TrailblazerCommunity team!

Thanks for all they do for Trailblazers!

I was excited with full of positive energy, I was about to start filling DS160 Form and a new application for B-1 Visa, but when I relook on my DS160 form and application, I found no any major component has been changed in my application in last two years except a Designation and increased TDS deduction.

After reconsideration, I gave up! I gave up without playing a Visa match this time!
I don’t have dare to accept another rejection this year, so I kept my dream alive to attend Dreamforce someday in the future in my life.

I have requested to Trailblazer Community Team to cancel my DF19 full conference pass by internal communication with the registration team and offer this conference code to any other Trailblazer who has still no DF19 full conference pass but posses the same dream as me to attend Dreamforce.

I’m positive enough, self-motivated and I am a true lover of the Gita shlokas including:

कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन । मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भुर्मा ते संगोऽस्त्वकर्मणि ॥
(You have a right to perform your prescribed duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of action. Never consider yourself to be the cause of the results of your activities, and never be attached to not doing your duty.)

This year I’ll again enjoy the Dreamforce keynotes over Live streaming online and thinking that Om, Dreamforce is only a dream for you.
Keep calm and enjoy this beautiful life.

By the way, I’m very happy to see TrailheaDX is in India this year and, as soon as the pre-event day and post-event day agenda will be finalised I’ll book my travel tickets and will be waiting to book TDX India pass.

But I become sad sometimes thinking that everything, every detail in my Visa applications or during the appointment was correct both years.

Why me? I had been misjudged both times by U.S. Visa Consulate only in 2 minutes without even caring about all the documents carried by me both years.
Either 2017 or 2018, no single reason I found about the rejection.

Congratulations everyone if you are going to Dreamforce 2019, or if you have been there in earlier Dreamforce.
Everyone is not fortunate enough like you in terms of attending Dreamforce.

Thank you very much if you got a few minutes to read my dream.

“Dreamforce is a dream”.
